 Who We're Looking For

We welcome interns who meet the following criteria:

• ✅ USCF-Rated Player
  A strong understanding of tournament play and chess fundamentals is essential.

• ✅ Age 16 or Older
  Maturity and reliability are key to working with young players and supporting events.

• ✅ Positive Role Models
  Interns must demonstrate good sportsmanship, responsibility, and a professional attitude on and off the board.

• ✅ Strong Communication Skills
  You'll be assisting instructors, helping students, and occasionally interacting with parents or event staff.

• ✅ Team-Oriented Mindset
  Whether you're helping at a tournament, assisting with camps, or supporting a class, collaboration is at the heart of what we do.

 What Interns Will Do

• Assist coaches during after-school programs and camp

• Help organize and run tournaments and scholastic events

• Provide guidance to newer players during structured activities

• Learn event management and instructional techniques

• Earn volunteer hours or community service credit where applicable
