Anthony Guerra, (Candidate Master above 2100) has been playing competitive chess for 17 years in the State of Texas during which he has won Texas State titles and has placed 1st at various Open Tournaments. Accomplishments include 2011 SouthWest Open Amateur Champion and 2013 US Class Blitz Champion. Coaching successes include 2 individual State Champions, (2011 and 2012 High School JV Champions) and 1 Team Championship (2011 High School JV Team Champions). Coaches in RGV area. |
Curtis Brooks, (National Master Rated above 2200) has been playing competitive chess for 16 years in the State of Texas during which he has won Texas State titles and has placed 1st at various Open Tournaments. Accomplishments include 2014 World Open u2200 Champion. Coaching successes include 2 individual State Champions (2014 Middle School JV Champion and 2014 State Girls Elementary Champion). Available for coaching in McAllen, Private and Group. |
Bo Githoro, (National Master above 2200) has been playing competitive chess for 17 years in the State of Texas during which he has won 2 Texas Scholastic State Chess Championships. He has over 10 yrs of teaching chess experience producing State Champions as early as the 1st grade. His interactive and innovative methods of teaching are equipped to take all playing levels to the next level. Is seeking to teach players only serious about improving their chess abilities..
